Original drawings, sketches and small paintings

A collection of original drawings, sketches and small paintings.

A unique collection of some of my preparatory sketches and designs, in a variety of medium. I often use smaller sketches and drawings in my preparation for bigger paintings, and sometimes I draw and sketch just because it is fun and enjoyable!

I love to create small sketches of animals where I capture the unique character and individuality of each subject. Other small sketches and drawings include picturesque scenery and unique local landmarks and buildings. I love to explore my surroundings and create drawings and loose sketches which capture line, form and colour.
You will see some sketches that include the Yorkshire seaside town of Staithes, my local park in Bedale and favourite landmarks in Scotland such as Eilean Donan Castle. You will also find many wildlife drawings and sketches in this collection such as hares, rabbits, seabirds such as Puffins and Oyster Catchers and some farm animal such as cockerels, chickens and cows.

My broad range of sketches and drawings are a collectable item. I often like to experiment with colour and a range of different mediums including oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolour so there is always something unique to offer with my range of sketches and drawings. Keep revisiting my site to see the latest work!

My small sketches and drawings cover a diverse subject range and each one is totally unique. Some inform later pieces of work whilst others remain just as a simple sketch.

All work is signed or initialled and presented in a professionally cut mount and acetate wrapped for protection. They are ready for a frame of your choice.
