Portraits

I am absolutely fascinated by portraits! They are often considered one of the hardest subjects to paint, with the technical challenge of achieving a ‘likeness’. Proportions are paramount but, for me, a portrait is so much more than just replicating a resemblance. It is also capturing an emotion, a feeling, a fleeting moment in time. Human emotions and expressions are infinite and, of course, each subject is unique!
