THE ARTIST
About Vicki
Vicki Davidson is an artist with a passion for bright, dynamic and inspirational art. Always keen to experiment, Vicki works in oil, pastel, acrylic, watercolour, charcoalβ¦and anything she can get her hands on to make a mark really! Subjects include sketches, portraits, animals (especially hares!) and, more recently, landscapes.
Although Vicki studied art and design at βAβ Level, a busy career in nursing has left little time for her passion. Vickiβs nursingΒ career has taken her around the world, including London, Australia, an African expedition and even some time in a FieldΒ Hospital during her time as a reservist with the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps. Now her two children areΒ growing up, and needing her less, Vicki has decided to pursue her passion for art.
In 2017 Vicki started sharing her work on social media and in a few select local galleries. The artwork has rapidly generated a keen interest, resulting in commissions and requests for prints of the work. Vicki has twice been a finalist in The British Art Prize, in 2023 and 2024.
Vicki, originally from Dartmoor in Devon, lives on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales with her husband and two children.

What is GiclΓ©e printing?
GiclΓ©e is a French word (pronounced Zhee-Clay) which literally means βfine spray”. GiclΓ©e fine art prints are produced digitally on high quality inkjet printers, which have the capability to reproduce a much wider range of colours than conventional processes, due to the specially formulated inks and media used. The GiclΓ©e process is really the only current solution available to artists who wish to obtain a close match to their original work and have the peace of mind that the prints will remain vibrant and fade resistant for decades to come.
All of the printing at Vicki Davidson is carried out by Nidd Imaging. Their quality of prints is exceptional!
Each print is approved by Vicki to ensure the colour match is as exact as possible to the original.
