Testimonials

You are so talented, the detail is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your work.

Vicki, I absolutely feel like crying. It’s amazing, so perfectly connected to the Hope wall. I can’t stop looking at it! Really beautiful. It makes me believe we can get rainbow paint!

Our little hare friend arrived safely and appears quite happy with his new home! And we, his new caretakers, couldn’t be more thrilled with him and delighted with your brilliant work!! He’s even more gorgeous than in the pictures. I am over the moon.

My father-in-law isn’t often moved to shed a few tears but your portrait certainly did just that. As birthday presents go I think you nailed it for him!

Just awesome Vicki. The movement you create and use of colour are stunning.

A short review because that’s all that is required.

You only have to look through Vicki’s body of work to see the consistency of her talent. Each piece is easily identifiable as hers. There’s little wonder her work is in such demand, and having two of her pieces I certainly have turned into a collector.

THE ARTIST

About Vicki

Vicki Davidson is a contemporary British artist known for her bright, expressive wildlife, landscape and cycling art. Working in oil, pastel, acrylic, watercolour and charcoal, her paintings capture movement, atmosphere and the character of the natural world. Based on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Vicki draws inspiration from British wildlife, rural landscapes and life on the bike.

Although Vicki studied art and design at ‘A’ Level, her early career took her into nursing, where she travelled widely and developed a deep appreciation for people, place and experience. In 2017 she began sharing her work publicly, quickly gaining interest through social media and select galleries. Her work has since led to commisisons and print sales, and she was a finalist for The British Art Prize (2023 and 2024).

Vicki’s original paintings and limited edition prints are collected across the UK, with work available to purchase online and through selected galleries.

Originally from Dartmoor in Devon, Vicki now lives in North Yorkshire with her husband and two children.

I’m proud to be part of @WorldBicycleRelief’s 20th anniversary celebration, The First 20, by designing and donating a painted Buffalo Bicycle crankset for their special auction, 20 Cranksets for 20 Years.
Between November 12 – December 12, you can bid to own one of these unique pieces — each symbolising the power of bicycles to change lives. With every bid placed in the auction, the equivalent cost of a Buffalo bicycle is raised for a student, healthcare worker, or entrepreneur.
Explore the auction and celebrate 20 years of impact at https://wbruk.rallyup.com/20years20cranksets/Campaign/Details
I was thrilled to be invited to support @worldbicyclerelief by designing a unique crank set for one of their bicycles that change lives. World Bicycle Relief are committed to helping people conquer the challenge of distance, achieve independence and thrive.

🐆
My design features a leopard to
symbolise stamina, independence, confidence, adaptability and power. The leopard, with its strength and self-sufficiency, mirrors the energy and resilience of those whose lives are transformed through access to a bicycle.

I am honoured to contribute to World Bicycle Relief’s mission- helping turn the simple act of pedalling into a force for empowerment and opportunity 🚴🏽‍♂️

The crank set will now be exhibited and auctioned to help support this wonderful charity 🚲

What is Giclée printing?

Giclée is a French word (pronounced Zhee-Clay) which literally means “fine spray”. Giclée fine art prints are produced digitally on high quality inkjet printers, which have the capability to reproduce a much wider range of colours than conventional processes, due to the specially formulated inks and media used. The Giclée process is really the only current solution available to artists who wish to obtain a close match to their original work and have the peace of mind that the prints will remain vibrant and fade resistant for decades to come.

All of the printing at Vicki Davidson is carried out by Nidd Imaging. Their quality of prints is exceptional!

Each print is approved by Vicki to ensure the colour match is as exact as possible to the original.

You can see more about Nidd Imaging and their printing process via; http://www.niddimaging.co.uk/
