I often use smaller sketches and drawings in my preparation for bigger paintings, and sometimes I draw and sketch just because it is fun and enjoyable! Here you can find a unique collection of original drawings, small sketches and small paintings, in a variety of medium.

I love to create small sketches and drawings, both within my sketchbook and on loose paper. You will see some landscape-inspired sketches that include the Yorkshire seaside town of Staithes, my local park in Bedale and favourite landmarks in Scotland such as Eilean Donan Castle. You will also find wildlife drawings and sketches such as hares, seabirds and farm animals.

My broad range of little sketches and drawings are used to experiment with colour and a range of different mediums including oil, acrylic, pastel, coloured pencil, ink and watercolour so there is always something unique to offer within this range of drawings and paintings.

Some of these sketches inform later pieces of work whilst others remain just as a simple sketch. All work is signed or initialled and presented in a professionally cut mount and acetate wrapped for protection. They are ready for a frame of your choice.
